Sure do, our local government cash machine is faulty and flashes as vehicles approach which means it flashes you as you drive away at less than the limit. and you sure as hell know something is going on as it gives a double flash.
Our Traffic light camera flashed me but I was turning right, and had locked up the brakes trying to get stopped so I handbraked the back round so I was sideways on when it flashed.

Most recently installed speed cameras work by infra-red: so there is no flash at all.
The first time you'll know you've been caught, is when the Notice of Intended Prosecution comes through your letterbox...

yes you will certainly notice the flash, there are two flashes, one which gets you number plate and one which detects what marker on the road you are at to measure your speed
