I got a 40G about two years ago and the battery runs down in about 6 hours now. How long will it be before I have to replace it? I use my iPod alot.

Well it depends on when you want to change your battery... The battery in the iPod's are Lithium Ion based, so technically you're looking at a life span that will go down lil' by lil'. I just got myself a new 30Gb Black iPod Video, and the Life span is about 25-30 hours, unless if I watch videos and I use it alot also. Don't worry, every mp3 player with a Lithium Ion battery will have to be replaced after a while. Though it comes out expensive to replace it, unless if you get yourself a nice lil' warranty, which is always good!

Hope this helps!
