republicans are uneducated

The way they are spelled is about all. With all the furor over Bush or republicans sending troops to Iraq a democrat will probably be elected in two years. It is estimated that Iran will be a nuclear power in five years and each Friday in Tehran, after prayers, thousands are in the streets chanting " Death to America" and this has gone on for 25 years. If none of this changes, the new democrat in office will send troops to Iran. No difference!

Democrats want as many as possible dependent upon the government in some way, either financially or through some regulatory scheme, in order to give their constituents control they can't get in the free market. If you need their money or their permission to do something, they've got the control they need, and they can reward their political cronies with government jobs or contracts.

Republicans want their constituency to have control too, but they typically shun the financial dependency route. The regulatory/statutory route is more palatable to Republicans, for while it messes with the free market, it is harder to detect who is pulling the strings for whom. While they do use jobs to reward political patronage, they are more likely instead to use awards of contracts or favorable legislation/regulation or the effect of favorable regulation via "selective enforcement" (the regulation officially applies to everyone, but is only enforced against competitors of the cronies).

I trust Republicans slightly more than Democrats, in the same way that I trust rattlesnakes slightly more than cobras.

Have you considered libertarianism?

A great many things.

Just about every issue, the two parties beleifs differ.

Just for example, Republicans tend to be against abortion and Dems tend to be pro choice.

Not every dem or republican feels that way, but the general party lines seem to fall that way.

Its just differences in beleifs

Republicans - Actually still care about the Constitution, and wish to stay with traditional values.

Liberals - The exact opposite of the above statement.
