how do u access the hosts file on the computer?

it depends on if u have windows XP, windows 98 or windows 2000

if you have XP it is in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC and it is called hosts just double click and open it with notepad

if you have windows 2000 it is in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC just the same open it with notepad

if you have windows 98 then it is in C:\WINDOWS and once again just open it with notepad

it's at %WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Then use edit or notepad to access it. (Open with...)

Then, once edited, use a command prompt to enter the command:

nbtstat -R

to reload a cache table
