I would ask you Dr. If he is getting enough Vit C he shouldn't need it. And if the Dr. says yes he will tell you the right amount to give him. Even though he is a little guy his immune system is very good. That is if he was healthy at birth.
If he is getting a stuffy nose, just sit in the bathroom with him and turn the hot water on so it gets steamy in there. That always help my kids. They also make Vicks vapor rub for babies now, works real well.
Good luck, hope he gets better. :)

And to Hornball...she could be a new mother leave her alone. Its better to ask for advice, then to not ask at all and have a bad out come. :(

You said you had spoken with a pediatrician what did the doctor say?I have a feeling that you were told not to give your baby vitamin C or you wouldn't be on here asking this question.
No I would not give a baby below the age of 1 year vitamin C.

What the Pediatrician said? ......I wouldn't give my tiny baby no drugs ,not even vitamin C . I though that school kids and grown ups take vitamins to prevent from catching cold..

I would definately ask your Pediatrician first. Some things are not safe until a year old and that might be one of them. Good Luck

Only give him what the doctor recommends. Do not ever experiment with your child. When my kids were little, I ran a hot steam vaporizer day and night when they had colds and that gave them breathing relief. Anything else, ask your doctor.

To much vitamin C will cause gas and what have you, his formula and vitamins should have it in there. I would definately talk it over with the doctor.

I would not give him anything until you ask his doctor. If you have to call the doctor's office 30 times, then so be it. It is better to be safe then sorry.

you probably did no longer say in case you have been breast feeding or no longer - yet my pediatrician pronounced that considering the fact that I bf, my infant ought to be undesirable in nutrition d and iron. in case you're formula feeding, maximum formula have iron in them to make up for it, yet once you're breast feeding, this is unquestionably the only nutrition deficiency they could have that would desire supplementation. I did ask this question right here too and many posters pronounced that somewhat one is born with sufficient iron shops to final for 6 months till they initiate solids. nutrition d is common sufficient to make up for - only reveal your infant to image voltaic and his physique will produce it. in basic terms somewhat an afternoon is nice, I take mine out for walks while it somewhat is great. be certain you place on sunscreen. in case you're nonetheless in touch, communicate on your pediatrician, yet formula or breast feeding ought to surely provide them each and everything they desire, aside from what I pronounced. good success!
