i'm 14 and i usually spend my time on the computer, im not easily motivated and recently my dad said that if i don't get out of the house two nights a week then he's cutting my connection, this i don't care about, when i'm with my friends i'm bored but i ast like i'm enjoying it, he also said a part-time job which i don't mind but i still am not going to be motivated so my questions are.
1) how can i motivate myself
2) what are some good part-time jobs (please dont say retoraunts)

both my parents work till about 5 PM....i''m on a badminton team.....we have about a three hour practice twice a week, but i can only do it once because it's tough on my ankle (I had broken it a while ago) and it gives me pain for about two days, also in gym we usually dont play sports it's more of a fitness routine (run laps, pushups, scrunches ...or wtv they're called...etc)

You have to find things you like doing. You might have to force yourself at first to try some new things. Maybe there is a sport you enjoy. Go join a team. If you don't enjoy hanging out with your friends, maybe you really don't enjoy doing the things your friends do. Maybe find some friends that have more in common with you. But like I said, you may have to force yourself at first to try some new things.

I don't know how many job options there are for a 14 year-old.

In order to motivate yourself, you have to find something that interests you...and then focus on that...

As far as part time jobs, you are not old enough yet to be hired legally in the US.. Labor laws will not allow employers to hire you unitl you are 16. And sorry, but if you are under 18, restaurants or fast food is about your only option. There is not a demand for extremely young, non-educated game designers.

Only you can motivate yourself, if you choose not to motivate yourself, don't blame others for your lack of motivation.

what are your interest anyways your 14 so you can't really get any jobs out there most places don't even hire unless your 17 going on to 18 talk to your father what's his problem your only 14 it's not like you should be out in the world trying to start a future for yourself your too young? what about an after school activity or sports i was the same way your are when i was your age now I'm 20 and working on my bachelor's degree in criminal justice so don't worry about it eventually you'll find something that motivates you but rember you have to like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

motivate urself!
u like computers and such so see if they have a part time job for u at places that either repair or sell what u like. if u like doing it then u will want to go work.
do only what u like if u do something for the sake of doing it then u will never be happy.
ur dad just wants u to be a teenager and yet show u responsibilty,he is doing his job as a dad
