Since tin is an element. All the atoms are tin.
I'm not trying to be a smart-youknowwhat. But that's the first thing that came to mind. A steel can would have both iron and carbon atoms.

Number of neutrons can vary within an element, which is why all elements have several isotopes.
Number of electrons can vary within an element based on valence charge, but in a piece of metal, the charge must be neutral, meaning same number of electrons as protons.
