I am a moody, sad, angry 16 year old. I don't know who i am, what i want to do, or when i want to do them. I don't know what my personality is. I'm confused and mad and depressed. I hate being a teenager, am i a kid or an adult? i don't even know. Am i smart or stupid? i dont know, but i'm thinking the latter. What will i be? I don't KNOW!!! I hate being a teenager. How am i supposed to deal with this damn crap? I hate it all and i feel like kicking something.

Try focusing on what you enjoy doing... or what you're good at. If you haven't tried much, then get involved at your school. Join choir, try out for a musical, study a language, take photography, do community service. If you develop your own skills, then you'll have a reason to be proud of yourself.

Its really a good thing you are worried about labeling yourself. When I was in school there was so much pressure to fit into a label, a genre, you were supposed to be a punk, a jock, a stoner, a nerd, etc... You will soon find out that people who try to label themselves are just followers!

And as for the moody, sad, and angry part..thats just hapening because your at a point in your growth/brain development where your "emotional self" is really starting to develop and intensify. It happens to all of us. Its shocking like sunlight to a newborn. You seem very intelligent for your age and in time you will learn to control your emotions, and not let them control you.

Don't worry. It is very common to feel that way as a teenager. I did, and eventually, I became more happy with my life. I now look back on my teenage years, and remember the good stuff, never the bad. It's a hard thing to deal with, I know, one thing I did do when I was younger was talk to my closest friends and my mother. Talking to freinds let me know that I wasn't the only one having these feelings about my life, and talking to my mom let me know that she understood me, that she had been there, and she told me it got better.

What you are feeling is comepletely normal. You'll come into your own quite soon, when you graduate and move on...

Just know that people love you and can help

i under stand what you mean, i felt the same way when i was 18 years old, i was too old to be with teens and too young to be with adults, so i went to look for people in thire 20,s and i felt better and i found my my self feeling like an adults so i would say try hanging out with people in adults in there 20.s first. because you are more grown up and smartter in your mind then a teen.

Life is about finding yourself. It isnt uncommon for older people to feel the exact same way. Try to set some goals for yourself, make a list of things you would like to acheive and set out to complete them. The world is in your hands. We all go through times when we feel how you are feeling but it depends how you deal with it. Keep your head up high, have confidence in yourself and take charge of your life.

Awesome! You already know what you want to do! Find an activity to do that involves kicking! I guess you could do soccer, or kickboxing. I'll think of some others.

well it does get easier, just hang in there. you are not alone. we have all gone through those feelings. you are goin through alot of body changes and that is why you feel that way...you are a young adult, not a child. as you get a little older, you will feel better about yourself. if you are really depressed, try to see a councellor or a doctor. they may reccoment anti depressants if you are that depressed and they help. good luck to you.

i don't think you should be so eager to become an adult because when you're a grown-up, you'll wish you were a teenager again. what do you like to do? you could decide your career based on your interests. ask your friends who you are to them and decide who your are based on their opinion
