I agree with lots of card games.
If you want to know the exact age of many boardgames, check out http://www.boardgamegeek.com
All boardgames there have the year of publication on them. Most of the classics were out in the 50's (Monopoly, Scrabble, Clue, etc.)
But really, you should track down some old copies of password or jeopardy or something. Lots of people played those types of games back then, as they were the Trivial Pursuits or Deal or No Deal's of the time.
If you want a newer game, that will still hit their memory banks a little bit, you should check into Traumfabrik, or also called Fabrik der Traume. It's a game by Hasbro put out in Germany. You run a movie studio and buy scripts. The scripts are old movies from the 40's and 50's, and also old actors and directors, and you must hire those people to star in your movies.
You end up with some great combo's like Marilyn Monroe starring in Gone with the Wind.

Cluedo, Scrabble & Monopoly. Dominoes, chess, checkers (aka draughts), chinese checkers. I am sure there are heaps more as it was the time while tv sets cost a fortune.
