I am a very nice person to all people. But, with this said...I must admit that I get jealous of other women "whom are more beautiful than I" because they are reflecting what I lack.
I'm embarrassed by this. ( I know better, but I'm still guilty of it)

I think it comes from society in general. The unspoken rule is that men look for the "beautiful, smart, perfect" woman and pick her. So that creates the thought that women need to be better than their fellow women to be chosen by the "perfect" man. To be "chosen", women sadly resort to doing evil things to the woman they are jealous of. Or if a woman already has been chosen, she wants to make sure there is no competition. We haven't as a society yet learned that everyone is different, not necessarily better or worse. Society promotes the feelings of jealousy and evil. (Don't just accept the story of Eve and the apple)

I feel that most people have turned to vindictiveness as a shield to protect themselves...out of habit/ fear. It's not our true nature to be vicious, backbiting, people. We've forgotten how to be gentle to each other because we've become so violent. Just a moment ago I was reading a question by a girl with an issue, posted on Yahoo answers, and half the answers were ridicules about her spelling, and didn't help her at all with the issue. I think my point has been made. Though of course I am speaking generally, not about women's issues.... my apologies.

See each other as competition? I always feel like I am compared to my boyfriend's mates girlfirends. Girls seem to group up and you never get chance to join a group of girlfriends when they have been friends for ages. I think girls are a bit more defensive and protective as well.. I guess we have to be. I prefer male friends.
