I hear that!!!
For me it was the way my mom was to us kids, it made me want to NEVER be that way to my kids and husband now. It also helped that I moved out of state and away from being so close to her.

My mother. She died of Cancer and fought it for 5 years. I have seen her go threw some horrible horrible stuff during treatments and even cared for her at home until the day she died. She fought until the days to stay with us.
I do not stress over the little things anymore, I am more humbled, more forgiving, more honest, more helping and more appreciative of life.
She wasn't just my mother she was my best friend and even before she got sick, she always stood by myside when all others didn't and showed me how much fun life can be and to embrace and too enjoy it.
Life is extremely short. She was only 55.

I credit myself, no I'm not coincided,I had a hard childhood of my parents drinking, partying, fist fighting, hitting us kids, and yes there"s more, I started out bad then look at my life and dug myself out then let it swallow me whole. i gave more to my kids by refusing to hit them, talked to them instead of abusing them. and gave them a 100 percent better life then i ever had. and i taught my self, all by just loving them.

A mix of my parents and my BF. He is helping "undo" some of the warped teachings of my childhood.
