Will an infant born at 37 weeks gestation develop the same way a full-term infant would? For example, will he reach his one-month milestones at one month, or will he be behind three weeks?

37 weeks is technically considered full term, although some born at this age are born with some mild complications such as under-developed lungs. An infant born at this age should be right on track developmentally unless there is an underlying problem.

Every baby is different whether they are full term or early. I have had one boy that was born a week late, one that was born at thirty seven and a half weeks and one that was born at 37 weeks, he is now 12 weeks old. Each one has started doing stuff at different ages. My first one walked at 8 months and my second didn't start walking til he was 10 months old. My oldest two rolled over really early and my baby hasn't rolled over at all yet. It just depends on the child.

No-they develop the same-and 37 weeks is considered full term enough to be born perfectly healthy. My son was born at 38 weeks and he is as advanced if not more so then my friends daughter who was born at 42 weeks.

37 weeks is 1 week early..not 3 weeks early. 1 month milestones can happen at 3-5 weeks normally.

my son was born at 28.5 weeks and until he was 1 yrs old he was always classed as behind by 12 weeks - however he did everything when he was supposed to

now 3 yrs on - he is developmentally at a 5.5 yr old level

just treat them as individuals - I know children who are behind they're developmental level and they werent pre-term
