I was watching at one of the residences at varsity. The students were so rowdy and the mood was just unbelievable. We always ran out of seats and people were willing to stand for hours just to watch a match. Some people were drunk other screaming and shouting. The funniest were the ones teasing each other and the whole place would laugh. It was such a great atmosphere. Wish I had a camcorder. Pity it only comes once in 4 years. Gosh I'll be working by then. I'm South African by the way, so I'll probably be at the stadium in 4 years time

All the people whom I watched the games with were awesome. But I shouldn't forget sharing these two.
One - I watched some games at my grand parents place. My grandma, she has no idea of what people do in football games!! We try to explain some of the things such as 22 players playing with one ball. Once she commented - "why on earth would 22 fight for just one ball. They should have been given with more. If each of them had one, then they would not end up injuring themselves so often!!"
Two - I was watching the Brazil-France game in a bar. I was for Brazil and the guy sitting next to me was for France. His reactions tested my guts, really!! He was so noisy. But at the end he came to me, gave me a hug and apologized for the pain he inflicted.

Relatives because they were being a wide variety of teams supported
At the end I dont recall a lot of people with Italy but I came close with Portugal
For many games we planned where to go see it together and we were always at least 20 people

my dad. he's got this weird philosophical view of football that gets me laughing all the time. sample: why is england a perennial loser in the wc? it's becuz of their colonial mentality - instead of working for it, they wait for opponents to serve 'em up a goal :)). he's the best soccer buddy ever. lol

My relatives, especially one of my cousins. I watched the Germany vs. Italy semifinal with him, and he was ever so supportive of the Italians... by the end of the match, he was the only person I could celebrate the Italian victory with, since my cousin's family happened to prefer the German team. But it was great, their house happened to be in a community with many Italian families.

My older brother cuz the rest of my family isn't really football inclined. But I sometimes had to watch them alone cuz my brother isn't as footy inclined as I am... And the only other one was my younger brother's pet guinea pig--it squealed when it heard the narrator scream, "GOAL!!!"
