erections since surgery?

I had two disc removed from my neck back in August. I know that they nicked a nerve and artery during the surgery. Everything went great and I feel fine. Since the surgery, I wake up with a ragging erection that take at least 30 minutes to lose.The worst part is some time I'll get these during the day. I'm not about to masterbate to get rid of it, because I've tried and the ***** stays even longer. There is no pain with it ,just a bulge. Does anyone know if it may be related to the nicked nerve? Or maybe the blood flow?

I think is cause by a blocked artery. The vagus nerve is not related to this.
