Every person is an individual. Some can cook. Some can't. I think alot of your cooking skills come from your raising. I myself wasn't taught to cook (by my mother) because she always ran me out of the kitchen because I was in her way. So, in turn, I'm not a real good cook. My grandmother was taught to cook by her mother and she is wonderful at it! She cooks "real" food like fried chicken, pinto beans, corn bread, fried potatoes, etc. and its all the best stuff you have ever put in your mouth. Real "fill me up" kinds of food. She can also make old time recipes like Sock-it-to-me cake, pecan and cocunut pies that are to die for! And, getting away from the white/black issue, I love Asian cooking, too.

I think it depends on the type of food. Certin fooda re just closer related to certin ethnic groups. From what I have tasted, I prefer black peoples cooking, but that is what I grew up around (in white, but live in an all black area, school, ect.). People like what they know.
I am sure Chinese peopel think theya re the best cooks, becuase it is their food.
I like black people cooking for the meat, but white people for the vegtables.

Grandmas in the south (whether they be white or black) can down right throw down on a stove. Chances are, if they grew up during the Great Depression, they know how to cook.

I was taught to cook by a white Canadian lady and her food was delectable.
Anyway, you retracted your question in the final analysis, so I believe you know it is not the ethnicity of the people that truly determines their ability to make a pot taste sweet.
Some people simply have a knack for making your toes tingle and twitch when you sit down to a meal they prepare.

Depends on what is being cooked. I will admit that black people are good cooks, but white people have things they are good at cooking at too.
Jumbo versus eggs benedict or gritz versus pasta

Every race has a there own culture of different cuisines, however I will say that I like black people's cuisine better. My college room mate invited me to Thanksgiving with her because my family lives in Japan. OMG, I gained 10 pounds in one week because the food was so good.

I think that depends on what you're cooking. I'm white and a man, but I cook great!

The answer depends on whether you are white or black Cassandra. If you're black then you are going to favour black cooks. If you are white then you are going to favour white cooks. What the heck!
