Ok this isnt a career opportunity so I see no need for a suit. I really dont think it is necessary to wear the jacket and dress slacks. HOWEVER I do take this opportunity seriously. Do you think it is okay to wear:

A nice feminine button down grey top with 3/4 length sleeves.
Black slacks.
Black flat dress shoes.

I will keep the makeup and jewelry to a minimum.

So what do you guys think?

Having worked at a temp agency, your outfit would be appropriate.

You will be judged by your interviewer. If you look acceptable for an $8/hr job but not a $15/hr job, you'll only be offered the $8/hr ones. Remember, when you go out on jobs, you reflect on them. They want that to be a positive impression for their client. I'd wear the suit.

Years ago, I did the temp thing. Some of my easiest jobs were the ones where I was told to dress to the nines but bring a book since there wasn't much to do but be a body at a desk for some old geezer who should have retired already and might get 3 to 5 phone calls I day I would have to "screen". They wouldn't have called me if I'd interviewed in slacks and a blouse.

When I went to my first temp agency interview I wore a button down and khakis and was told I was dressed too casually for the positions I was looking for. Dress exactly as you would for the position you want. You must look the part.

It is better to over dress than under dress. Another idea is to package yourself. Create a portfollio of your work in addition to your resume. I.e Papers you wrote in college or high school, sample emails etc. Something to show that you caan do the job. And smile and be nice to everybody including the receptionist.

Yeah that's fine. I've worked for temp agencies before, and unless they're a high-powered head hunter, business casual is fine. Good Luck !

Dress as if it were the actual place that will be hiring you. Make a good impression on the agency and they will work that much harder to get you you placed. They make money from getting you a job and if you show pride in yourself it is a direct reflection on your work ethics.

I think that your decision for clothing is just fine. Temp agencies don't really care too much about you (no offense)...they just want to make $$ from their clients (the employers).

Just look nice and don't wear anything outrageous.

no denims, a great pair of black gown pants and a button down shirt with a collar. you want to look expert as a great number of the roles are place of work jobs. in case you positioned on denims you wont be taken heavily,
