The best team who has a chance would be the Saints. They have a high-power offense who can score points with the Chargers and a good enough defense to stop Rivers (no one can really stop LT)
New England always has a chance against anybody. Although a lot of teams are catching up with them.
The Ravens matchup well against the Charges. If Steve McNair is on, then they are one of the best If not, then they will lose to any of the playoff teams (I'm a long time Bengals fan, so I am familiar with them).
The best chance to beating the Chargers is to take Rivers out of the game (easier said then done, I know)
With all this said, the Chargers will probably win the Super Bowl.
The way they came back and beat my Bengals shows they have the heart of a champion (and it also shows that my team sucks)

In the AFC there are plenty of hurdles. Yes Baltimore is one of them. You mention how little the Ravens did against the Chargers...bottom line, it was enough to win.Who is to say it was bad offensive playcalling...that ignores just how good the Raven defense is. Anyone who discounts the Patriots will find themselves on the golf course real quick, make no mistake that the combination of Belechik and Brady are the most dangerous playoff contenders...period! All that being said I really believe that if Marty doesnt screw up the team and Rivers can handle the playoff pressure (Big Ben did fine his rookie year...no reason Rivers cant do the same) the Chargers are very capible of going to and winning the Super Bowl. It wont matter who the AFC plays, right now they are clearly the better conference and although i also like the saints to get there i cant see them beating whichever AFC team makes it to the Super Bowl.

Honestly I think the Chargers greatest threat is themselves. If they come into any of these games underestimating their opponents they will find that they aren't good enough to play their "B" game and win against the other AFC opponents. But if you are looking for another team sorry it is the Baltimore Ravens. They have the run D to contain LT. I know the Chargers have made adjustments since then but so have the Ravens. I wouldn't expect that game to be a cup of tea, by any standard.
The Super Bowl will be tougher than you think as well if they get there. Everyone says the AFC is superior and they are, but that just means that SD will be beat up and exahusted from battling two top notch teams before they even get to the Super Bowl, whereas the NFC representative will be more fresh and not so beat up from battling top competition.

Hate to break it to you but the Ravens O has improved greatly also and their D is even better than the Chargers. They will beat San Diego once again by being outcoached. Marty's 5-12 playoff record as a head coach will ensure that.

THE COLTS!!! they have the best reciver possibly ever, he defeintly the best playing and the best quaterback ever. THey have a godd running tandom between Addai and Rhodes. ALthough they aren't good against the run, they are getting Bob SAnders back, an All-Pro safety who knows how to hit. ALso, sinnce L.T isn't really a power runner( he is one hell of bakc though) I think the COlts speed defense will at least shut him down to 120, and Phillip Rivers is having a good season but ain't ready 4 palyoffs, ZTHe CHargers a re a grea team but they wont be able to score enough to beat the COlts and Peyton& Marvin.

The Ravens. There D-fence is built to stop the Chargers offense. Other than that there is no team that can beat them in the AFC.

It would be in the Super Bowl, the New Orleans Saints, they are the only other team in the Playoffs that have a balanced offense and defense and they of course have Brees and Bush in their arsenal so they will be hard to beat.

Sorry it's Baltimore, sometime during the playoff Schottenheimer is going to ruin a very good thing. He always does.

I think their coach is the biggest obstacle. If he becomes Marty wuss boy again, then that'll be the end of them. It was 14-13 in Baltimore.
