It is becoming more common place to have co-ed baby showers. Don't worry, they are thrown very differently than a traditional baby shower. They are more of a party than a shower. The men normally get to seperate before the gift opening. My husband has been to one, he had a great time hanging out in the backyard with his friends.

I guess it depends on the shower. I had 3 different showers. The first was with our friends (because family is quite a distance away). This one, our friends are all of age, so we had two tiny kegs of beer, so they could have a beer if they wanted, and then pop, juice, etc. I was a little nervous that the guys wouldn't have any fun, but honestly, they had a blast! And again, it was all of our friends combined, so it made the shower even more special. The best game we did was a baby food smelling game, where the label was taken off the baby food, and you had to smell it and guess what it was.... the guys got a kick out of this one! But yes, it was very nice, and the guys had a good time.

Now my 2nd shower was with my Mom's side of the family- who are more uptight about everything. It was all girls, and a boy who was 3 yrs old. It went ok, but again, nobody really talks on this side of family, so it wasn't as fun. So if you are to go to a babyshower, and it's like this, I suggest a guy not go! lol

My 3rd shower, my husband and our baby went- it was right after he was born. And it was at a restaurant. Very nice. My husband and our son were the only guys there, but it was still really nice.

So really, if you go into it knowing how it will be, you can decide from there. Ask whoever is having it, and see if other guys will be there. I think guys at a shower is ok if it is fun for them.... otherwise, it'll just be boring.

Some. Depending on the babyshower party. I've been to some when the invitation says girls only and some where the whole family is welcomed. To tell you the truth, I had much more fun when the whole family is welcomed...yes, many men and boys were there and they had fun too!

Prizes for video games are no longer in many situations complex, yet are fairly relaxing or sensible issues. it somewhat is a great touch to furnish the mum-to-be a similar merchandise so after each and each game the mum-to-be besides as a focused visitor wins. some reported products that maximum visitors could like are listed decrease than with the reason the mum-to-be could get excitement from the object: image Frames (each and every determine desires those) bath Soaps (a shower turns right into a luxury to all mothers) Measuring cups or spoons (those are an surprising infant toy and turn into an surprising stacking toy for youngsters) Dish towels (while my little ones have been nonetheless toddlers, you should locate a dish towel or burp textile in each and every room of my domicile — you in no way understand while a spill or spit up is going to happen) Disposable digital camera (those are great to have around to capture each and all of the particular moments)

Yes, at least some. There were guys at my baby shower including my husband. I have been to more than a few that had both men and women. Its an equal opportunity world! One had a drinking game going, beer and wine not hard stuff. It was a blast.

Oh and before anyone freaks out: the pregnant woman didn't do any of the drinking!

My husband was at mine. It's just as much his baby as mine and if he wants to be a part (not a pain) why not? Also a plus was he was a huge help with loading large gifts into the car for the trip home (if not held at your home) that I was too big to carry at the time :-).
and My best friend is male and had no problem with coming to mine and playing silly games along with the girls. Depends on the guy really but get with the time modern guys, you can come too!

i try to avoid babyshowers unless many of your other buddies are dragged in or if you are single. I hated babyshowers. my mom dragged me to a whole bunch when i was a little kid. if it is your friend's babyshower maybe go just for an hour or two to just support your friend and all. Definately go if you are single. great place to meet girls. and maybe if your buddies are dragged in. you can't let your buddy suffer alone.

If you have a co-ed shower yes. I have had both at my showers I like it better, that way the daddy can be involved and not be the only guy there.

Sure do. I am throwing a baby shower for my male co-worker this month. His wife can come if she can make it - but otherwise it is for him. The father is just as much part of the baby as the mother.... well, almost as much.... :)
