Your having a migration problem (your body has recognized a foreign object in your skin & is pushing it out). I’d recommend that you take it out immediately! Everyone heals at different speeds, if it was infected then it will take longer (belly button piercing are hard because it's a dirty area & tough to keep clean which is why they have so many infections.) When you have it re-pierced let the Piercer know that you had this problem so he can set it deeper in then it was before.

Consult an APP-certified piercer (Association of Professional Piercers) in your area, hopefully whoever pierced you was certified. If you do need to remove the piercing, most will probably tell you you need anywhere from 3-6 months before they will attempt to pierce it again. It is important to make sure the piercing is FULLY healed before a second round...trust me. Also, make sure you are given a surgical steel barbell with externally-threaded jewelry as well.
Always consult a professional!

mine took a whole year to heal completely. i´d say just be patient and don´t mess with it too much. just wash it when you´re in the shower and leave it alone. it will heal. :)
