Because if you think outside of hte box, ...you are a threat to society and they might stone you or send you to some mind control camp!!! Big brother is watching..conform..CONFORM!!
Just kidding...yeah, people like to be in groups, and want to run with "flocks"...they can't help it, America was born into a puritan society, and even today that still exists.

We are tired and sad little people. We wander around all day doing what we are told so we look good to other sad and tired people.
