Well, look at why you are lazy. Is it because you don't enjoy what you are doing, or is there something physically wrong that causes you to be lazy all the time.
Then, you need to weigh the value of what you are doing, and your focus on your degree program. If you are not focused on your education, you may as well leave school and get a job. It is not worth wasting your time and money on school if you aren't focused on it. Now, I do NOT advocate leaving school for any reason other than emergencies...but I know that some people are not ready for college right after high school.
I dropped out of high school in 1995 and got my GED. I started college in 1996, went for a year, then decided to get a job because school wasn't going anywhere for me. I ended up getting into a management position (after years of hard work,) and into a great paying position with a very reputable drug store chain. I decided that I did not want o work in a store for the rest of my life, and made the choice to go back to school.
Now, I am focused 100% on my education. The time away from school helped me figure out what I really wanted to do with my life, and gave me goals to pursue.
Take a step back and evaluate where you want to be in 10 years. If that goal involves a degree, then you seriously need to focus on school more. If not, go get a job in the field you want to pursue, and call it good. Success is measured individually...not by how much money you make, or what college degree(s) you have.
It's up to you to shape your future to fit your goals and dreams.

Maybe a four year college isn't right for you right now. I know it will disappoint your mother, but I'm sure she'd rather you transfer than fail out. And your future is by no means ruined, you just might need another path to it.
I tried going straight into a four-year university, and it didn't work out for me either, unfortunately, I didn't realize that until I failed a whole semester. With near perfect SAT scores, and a really high IQ, nobody would have guessed I just wasn't ready. Has nothing to do with smarts, just where you are right now.
Enroll in a local community or junior college and work toward an associate's degree. After that, you should be ready to tackle university level courses, and it will be cheaper and faster, too.
If your mom needs convincing still, do a little research, make a plan, and you can print this out and show her that it's not just you if that might help. :)

First i think you should choose a major that interest you, without your parent or anybody influence.
If you like the subject at least it motivate you to attend the lectures.
Second listen to your mom advice, but also follow your own desire. If you think you wont be able to concentrate on college this year maybe is best for you to get some work first, etc until you get motivate to go to college again
