The longest I remember started on 1998 and ended in 1999..
Perhaps it was because we start playing on 12/31 late evening.. :)

I'm not a big fan of Monopoly, I much prefer some of the other great games available.
I do have something to add to this however. When you play Monopoly, if you play by the exact rules, the game does not last very long. 2 or 3 hours at the most.
Unfortunately, so many people change the rules, and those rule changes usually involve adding cash to the game. Rules like the money for free parking. Increase the amount of luck involved in the game, and increase the money in the system.
This inherently makes the game last longer, as more money means harder to bankrupt.
Also, all the properties are supposed to be sold much more quickly than people are used to, because once they are landed on, if the person doesn't opt to purchase it, it is supposed to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Well we played a game on monopoly in our house that lasted for 2 weeks.. we played it every day for at least 2 hours.. after that we called it a draw, due to we all had tons of money and all property was bought and everything was totally built up.. We played it over Christmas break one year to keep the kids busy, and it worked..

I have the game on CD and it takes me about 2-3days to finish a game. Now when I was young I played it with my silbs and that took days also.

mine was 4 hour coz i got the park view and boardwalk. It was a color group my cousins got something 2 but i got he most powerful combos i put houses onto it until i got hotels there r 4 of us and 1 by 1 i swept them lol.

Mine was 10 hours.
I wanted to kill myself. Then I lost. I was releived. Releif turned to Hapiness. Hapiness to Elation.
Then I missed Monopoly. Elation turned to Sadness.
