I would go to any of the thrift stores. Consignment stores tend to be a bit pricier. Just keep going back, since they will always be getting new stock in. I wouldn't bother with e-bay, since maternity clothes need to be tried on, especially if they have been washed, as they do shrink and the size on the label may not be the accurate size anymore. I bought most of my stuff from thrift stores, and have also gotten plus-sized (I'm a large to start with) shirts and sweaters (much cheaper than maternity) and splurged on one or two items like a pretty maternity top and a pair of new maternity pants and of course underpants, as I would never buy those used!! Also, check out the local maternity shops. Keep an eye on their sales. I got a $30 skirt for $8! You just have to keep looking. Hope this helps.

Garage sales, there's a thrift store called Clothes Mentor that has them- just not sure of all of their locations- there aren't too many around, but this is where I'd go, and you'd find so many that were brand new even. Now, if there isn't one of these in your areas, then you can always look into a Once Upon a Child store- they are all part of the same branch, but in my area, the Once Upon a child stores have baby clothes... in a family members area, they have maternity clothes at the Once Upon a child. So I'd just try to find one of those if you can, you can find great deals. If not, sometimes Old Navy brings down there clothing to pretty cheap if you look in the sale section. You can also find things at other stores like Target, just not too big of a selection at Wal-Mart, Meijer's, etc.

Goodluck!

Check out resale/consignment shops that sell baby's clothes. They usually carry maternity clothes as well.

Also, check out clearance racks at stores. I bought a lot of my maternity clothes on clearance at Kohl's, JC Penney, Fashion Bug, and Motherhood Maternity. January is clearance month for retail stores, so now is the best time to find the deals. Check out the web-sites of these stores as well.

Goodwill, local thrift stores. Sometimes churches have charities that donate to people on a low income. For example, we have "Catholic Charities" here, but I don't know if that's just a local thing or nation-wide or what, I'm not Catholic. Also, some crisis pregnancy centers can help with that kind of thing, sometimes they supply baby goods, too. Try to get on WIC, too, if you haven't already. Go to your local health department to ask about it. My husband's friends did that and they weren't on an extremely low income. I think where we live the maximum income they accept is about $40,000, but that may differ by county. Your local health department may be able to give you information on where to get clothes and baby products as well.

Apart from thrift stores -- which can be fantastic for maternity stuff; quite cheap, and, of course, usually not very worn -- try:

http://www.craigslist.org/ -- there's a baby stuff section that maternity wear shows up on (check also under clothing); I saw somebody giving away a good pile on mine recently, and

http://www.freecycle.org/ -- if there's a group in your area, sign up and see what might be available. Loads get given away on my local group. Ditto with baby stuff -- well worth checking out.

The best place is the thrift store. Thats where i got most of mine. Walmart is also a good place for new ones, you just hit the clearance racks. Good luck
