I'm playing sonic 2 on sonic mega collection plus and trying to get debug mode. All the websites say to get on the options screen. HOW DO I GET ON TO THE OPTIONS SCREEN? On the main screen there is 1 player mode and two player mode, but no options menu! please answer with somthing that can help, not just comments on the game. thanks! :)

easy mistake James. you see, you are thinking about the level select screen. I am thinking about the options screen where you enter the code to get the one you are talking about. thanks anyway! :)

if you scroll down to two player mode and scroll down once more you will get a separate option 'the option menu'

i think you have to do some form of cheat to get to this screen, as i seem to remember you can select levels from it also..
when on the options screen i think you can listen to various numbered sounds..listen to the numbers..
19, 65, 09, 17, 01, 01, 02, 04
and then i think press A and the start key. this will cause a blackout and the game will return to the menu i think, at which point you can play with debug mode
im prolly way off, its been many many years! but hey, worth a shot!

It may be that the debug modes were removed for this compilation...
