My cousin recommended it, but as I'm not a big Three Musketeer fanatic, I don't know if I'd like it or not.

Definately worth the read. It's not as much based on the Three Musketeers as you might think. It's more of a Indiana Jones/Dan Brown "The Da Vinci Code" sort of thing, but "The Club Dumas" came before "The Da Vinci Code". It's an intellectual thriller. The movie "The Ninth Gate" was based on this novel, but it doesn't really come close to how great and deep the book is. Try it, I think you'll like it.
If you do find you like it, be sure to read "The Flanders Panel" and "The Fencing Master" also.

an exciting plot with solid characters. There must be a aspect of suprise as well when you consider that for me, the perfect books are ones that make you truly opt for to attraction to close what's going to happen. also, you would possibly want to experience for the characters - eg. their happiness will develop into the reader's happiness. an noticeably, really solid e book I study lately is "The e book Thief" yet i can not undergo in concepts the author. you should genuinely study it.

Almost everything by this author is worth reading. But if you don't care for swashbuckling it might not be to your taste. Yet, his characters are usually intriguing enough to overcome any prejudice against adventure-themed novels. My personal favourite is The Fencing Master.
I say, try it and see.
