I would ignore it wholeheartedly and watch what I was saying (or others were saying) around the 7 yr. old. I would not give any response at all and would move on, as to not reinforce him saying stuff like that. If he said it again, I would tell him it is not cool to say stuff like that about women, and especially moms. Tell him he is a good guy so you wanted him to know good guys don't say stuff like that. I'd be very low-key with the whole thing, then go in my bedroom and laugh my own a-s off.

Make sure he does not watch MTV. See what he does in a typical day like what internet sites he may be exposed to, TV channels and movies. See or hear what he says in school, maybe even call the school and bring it up to the teacher. She or he is probably around your child for a good portion of the day. Finally see what his frends are like because if someone was around when he said that he's probably trying to impress someone.

Ignore it. At his age he is simply repeating words he has heard with no significance. Don't make an issue of it.
0ur sdon, when even younger than that, asked of potential babysitters, "Is it the old aunty or the sexy aunty" We ignored it and now, as an adult, he does not even remember the event.

i would ignore it unless the problem gets bigger. children repeat what the hear and see. it may be that the child overheard someone else say it, or it may be something that has been see on television. also a big factor at that tender age may be playground pottymouth.
