People have a right to their opinion. No one can stop that. Freedom of speech should be protected. If you prevent one group, what's to stop another? What if you had an opinion on something that others thought was wrong? Would you want to be forced to not have an individual thought or opinion?

I am not in support of the KKK in any way shape or form. I think many of them are way extreme and need to just let people live their life. Any sort of racism is disgusting to me. It is when people's beliefs cause havoc to others that it crosses the line. Just like Religion and Wars... It's not right to force your beliefs on someone else or to hurt someone else because they think differently or are different. It all seems to be driven by fear when you truly look into any type of conflict. It's sad that the world is this way, but it is how you interact and what you choose to do that is important. Each of us has the power to change things by setting an example and doing the right thing.

A lot of what the KKK does is wrong, as far as I'm concerned. I don't have a problem with people forming a group and being prejudiced, as long as they keep it to themselves. As far as "keeping them in existence" is concerned, in America we do not forcefully deport citizens or kill them, for that matter, when they say offensive things. If we do, will we still have a "free world"? If they violate the law and are caught and convicted they can be punished.

By the way, it's not "a free world." We have a relatively free country in the USA, a measure of freedom, not absolute freedom. No one has that.

Freedom of speech is a tricky subject. It was made free for very good reasons. Read your history books, good ones. We are experiencing in this country right now some limitations on free speech; it's called "political correctness." Here's the problem: One you start, where do you stop? Once you decided that there are some things you cannot say, it's very easy to add more, and then more, and then soon there is little-to-no free speech at all.

Free speech came about because governments (and in some places, churches) got too controlling about what people could say, particularly criticism against the government, The USSR (recent past), Communist China and North Korea are contemporary examples. When there is no freedom to criticize or question, abuses abound. Sacrificing free speech is very dangerous. It invites governmental oppression, maybe even eventually dictatorship.

So, I feel we need to be careful to preserve free speech. It is vital that it be preserved. Offenses are inevitable. We all hear things we do not wish to. But ultimately, sacrificing free speech, is not the answer (you cannot eliminate all offenses, anyway).

As much as I wish they never came around, the KKK does have the right to exist in a free world. Each person has the right to say what they please, and that's how it should be. If the KKK ever started lynching or being violent again, then no, they are inhibiting the pursuit of happiness, which should not be allowed.

FFreedom of speech protects speech that most people don't like, thats the point... If everyone said things that were agreeable to everyone else, there would be no need for freedom of speech

The KKK came about during reconstruction of the Civil War. It was Americas first terrorist group. I still consider it a terrorist group. Yes this country does have free speech, but the KKK pushes it way past the limits and its absurd.

I don't care what anyone believes, if people are unpleasant, then others won't like them. If people are pleasant, others will like them. If they do legal actions, whatever. If they do illegal actions, they go to jail. It's pretty clear how it is. Honestly, as a person I believe we're all products of our environment, and that has nothing to do with our ethnicity, unless people make it that way. From what i've experienced, I've found some african american's to be some of the "whitest" people I've known, and vice versa. You can't judge someone on such foolish pretenses in my opinion.

Freedom cannot be one sided, there are others who have the same right to freedom. KKK is a bad news.
