One of my computers was very messed up and I was unsure of what happened to it. The only thing different I had done was run my new PCbeginner cd-rom. After installing Kaspersky anti-virus and running a check over the hard disc, several dangerous files came up from PCbeginner's folders containing trojan files or so it had said. After removing everything PCbeginner from this hard drive it is back to normal and functioning properly. Has anyone else had similar problems with this cd? I was thinking it could be a possible scam by getting access to all these people's computer databases who aren't familiar with computers in the first place, that's why they buy the cd-rom. SCAM? ANYONE?

Likely a scam. Unfortunatly there are many unreputable people with ill intentions on the internet as well as in stores. The worst of them are the ones who target unsuspecting victims because they are "easy prey" My suggestion to you is to find someone that you trust that knows a good amount about computers to teach you what you need to know to be safe and secure while on the computer.

Install a Good Firewall and Antivirus to help out with this...also a good spyware removal tool is a must.

I also recommend that you download and install Mozilla Firefox 2.0 it is much more secure than Internet Explorer and will help prevent you from accidentally installing spywares on your computer.
