He has a year left on his contract and from what I understand, he's free to coach elsewhere once his contract expires. He's going to spend the year with his family in North Carolina in the meantime. I'm sure he will coach again soon.

Was it really a surprise? I think he will go to NC and hang out with his family take a year or two off then coach college or high school ball just for the heck of it. I wish him well.

He won't go anywhere in the NFL. He's serious about his retirement. Years from now he might coach at NC State. He's always wanted to coach at his alma mater.

I think this is official because he wouldnt go to another team, if he came back it would be in Pittsburgh because his heart is with that team.
