Cant say i hate Harry Potter or that I like him, the only thing I can say in his favour though is that the Harry Potter books have done somethng great and that is getting kids reading books rather that having them sitting in front of the TV or playing with Computers/game consoles.

I don't hate him. I've never been compelled, however, to read any of the Harry Potter books. Why do you have this hatred for a fictional character? Is there something in the story that reminds you of something from your past that you perhaps are suppressing?

Whether you like the books themselves or not you have to appreciate something that gets young people so excited about reading. I thought it was becoming a lost art but Harry Potter has made it exciting for kids again.

None of you people can actually hate him. He's not real. He is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Personally, I love the Harry Potter books. The movies aren't quite as good, though. Also, you can't really hate the books either unless you've actually read them. Otherwise, you just 'hate' the idea of them. ;-)

There are a few unnecessary questions about him posted here. This gets in my craw as well!
Does anyone actually use the wonderful "Search for questions" feature on Yahoo answers? I'm sure every possible question on this topic has been asked. People need to just look it up instead of re-post!
