I cant speak for all Americans, but I dont know any that do or ever heard of anyone playing the game. Knew a guy from Jamaica who said he used to play back in his country.

What the hell Americans. Cricket got 3 formats T20 - only 3 hours One day - Half a day Test - 5 days Americans will have no clue on how to play cricket. it's a smart man's game.

you have to be in good shape to play cricket, so answer would be, No, and since americans are the most obese people on the planet (fact* - link below)
that is why they would rather prefer baseball (a game where guys like david ortiz prefer not to run and yet they can still be considered for MVP awards, sitting in the dug out after 5-10 minute innings going back in the dugout , chewing some tobacco).

nope cricket is not for americans, unless they can learn to catch a hard ball bare handed and learn to sweat it out for 6 hrs.

Not many!!! its not popular there but still some cricket is being played at some levels, even they have played the world cup qualifying mathes but could not qualify for it.

Its mainly played by Indian and Carribbean ex-pats, but there is a US Cricket Association.. and of course they finished high enough in last year's ICC Trophy to qualify for this year's World Cup. http://www.usaca.org/

Yes, there is an American cricket team. However, they are not good enough to qualify for world cup action.

in Houston, Tx they do, but it's usually ppl from Pakistan or India that live here, make the team.
