I don't see any problem in using the term, just as you describe someone's sexuality as gay or lesbian or bisexual so you describe someone who is none of these as straight. Otherwise it gets too complicated, do we call them non-gays? Homosexually-challenged? lol we all get too focused on worrying about labels and worrying about being politically incorrect...just go with the accepted term.

It doesn't bother me since I'm used to it . I guess it could be seen as offensive since it implies that non-heterosexual people are somehow 'crooked' or deviant. We could just say 'hetero' but then gays would have to be called 'homos' all the time and we all know that's not the nicest thing to say. I think 'straight' and 'gay' work best right now.

I have no problem with the term straight. In actual fact, it's the straights that often have a problem with gays, lesbians, transexuals, bi-sexuals.....

Not really, I define it more of a lable. A lot of my friends at Gay and Lesbian Pride wear shirts saying..."Straight but not Narrow." Its not out of date..what else are you going to call it? Non-Transgendered, Non-gay, Heterosexual male? I think its to long to pronounce...Straight, is still in.

It is what it is. Not all names need to be changed. It gets too confussing. What do you call people of color now???? I have gotten lost. Not that it matters but we are who we are. I am gay/Lesbian/ homosexual whatever.
