The very first mobile phone was the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X made in 1983.

And Ornage is a cellular provider like O2 or Vodafone(non-US) Just like the cingular and t-mobile of the US

It was Vodafone in the UK in 1982.

Orange were a latecomer in the market (mid 90s) although they are now one of the big players

In UK i think it was Orange that's according to my grandad :p
