Absolutely. If it's good enough for your baby, why not for an adult? As a new breastfeeding mom (of a 4month old girl) I don't see any problem with it as long as baby gets what he/she needs first. Worst thing I can see happening is your supply increasing as a result of increased output, if you were expressing a significant amount, and that could make you engorged if you stop. But that would be only temporary and really no harm done. My husband was naturally curious and has tried for himself. ScottF.'s Description was pretty accurate (according to my husband) just thinner and sweeter then cow's milk.

Yes, adults can drink breast-milk. However, it tastes different. Also, it's a shame to waste it on adults when it's the perfect meal for a baby.
If you are going to indulge in drinking some, leave some for the baby ;-)

Adults can, and from time to time have done so. Henry Ford, for example, believed that cow's milk was bad for people (not for any medical reasons, but simply because he thought that it would impart some of the cow's nature to the people who drank it, making them lazy and dull.) So he hired wet-nurses to express their milk, which he used for his personal consumption. Yeah, I've always thought that was pretty nasty.
Human milk is sweeter and thinner than cow's milk; while I agree that Henry Ford was a freak, I had to find out for myself when my children were infants. It's not something I could see myself developing a taste for, though I've never lost my interest in the, er, dispensers. :-)

never thought of it that way. I have heard of a kid in elementry drinking it but the mom got in trouble it was on the news and that has been some time ago. I would think that it is gross but it is suppose to be good for you.

My husband wants to. I'm set to be induced Tuesday morning, so I'm sure by next Friday, I'll be nursing two babies.
Actually, he just wants to taste it, not drink a glass full of it or anything like that.

It definitely won't hurt anything, if that's what you mean. Just make sure not to drink it right before the baby's ready to eat.

Yup. I even watched a very old episode of Jackass once where a woman filled a small glass with her own breast milk, then drank it!
