Everything sounds good except for the memory, the graphics card and the CD and DVD drives. You should consider 1GB or more of RAM. The graphics card should be a bit better. I would wait for Vista (jan 30 2007) if I were you. The CD/DVD drives should be able to burn DVD or CD -Rs: they're cheaper and play in more places. It's way worth $300. For more info on Vista, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/experiences/default.mspx
Try to get a good keyboard and mouse, too. I personally like wireless. And if you're going to get an LCD screen, try for one that has good refresh rates to avoid "ghosting."

It sounds like a great computer for just $300, however, it depends on what condition it is in. It also depends on what kind of gaming you are talking about. If you are thinking of running, like for example, Battlefield 2, you might run into some problems with having enough RAM. Windows XP alone needs 512MB and that is all this computer has. You can upgrade to 1GB of RAM for about $50. I wouldn't do that first thing though because you have a 150GB hard drive which should work fine as long as you have your virtual memory setting on unlimited (recommended with that big of a hard drive). Just go ahead and buy it. Remember, if you need to, you can always re-sell it.

It is a good deal. I would upgrade the ram when you can to the maximum the computer will take more than likely 2gb and get a better video card. But you can play most games with this computer. My video card is only 64mb and games look good to me. I actually see no difference between my card and one I installed in a friends computer that was 256mb. But I do know some newer games require it. I mostly play Neverwinter Nightsm and Halo.

its not a bad price, but its not even close toa gaming PC. You ned at least 1GB of ram for todays games, if you want to play on high, 2GB 's of RAM. CPU is pretty old, several generations old, still socket A, and it has a 25$ video card in it. blah, dont buy it if your looking for a gaming PC.
You could build your own computer and have it much better for 300$, not to mention new.

For $300 that isnt a bad deal, but is certainly not a gaming pc, for gaming you will need more RAM (1 gig and up should be good for the newer games) and a better vid card.

An excellent find for $300, but definately not up to snuff as a modern gamer's system. Upgrade it to 2G of RAM and a 256MB video card and it will do pretty well for most games though.....

It's a good price for what you are getting, but a good gaming computer it is not. If you get it, save your pennies to boost the RAM (min. 1 GB) and to get a better video card.

yeah, it's worth the money, but it's not a gaming pc.
the graphic is just 128mb and you'll need at least 256mb for new games on 'average' settings.
also the ram should be at least 1 gb for games.
