You may not be producing enough milk. You may have to supplement with formula or baby cereal.

I would try pumping your milk to see how much you are getting.Do your breasts feel full when she is done or empty? Some babies also gain weight at a different speed. You may also want to look at what your eating.Your baby may not like it.Garlic will make your milk strong.Dairy products may also make your baby not take much in.That was my problem.Allergy to dairy will cause fussy eating, not eating much only what they have to to keep going and bloody stools is a sign.Your baby should be gaining about an ounce a day,be sure to keep up with your doctor if you are really worried,if you dont get an answer you like ask to see a pediatritian.I found it helpful to write down the amounts my baby was taking by bottle or time how long your baby is on the breast, this will help the doctors help you and your little one.You should NEVER give a baby under 6 months anything but breast milk or formula, they can develope allergys early and their digestive system is not mature enough yet.Hope this was helpful and good luck.

The baby is not getting enough milk. You need to increase the number of feedings. Your milk replenishes every 90 minutes. When you feed the baby, allow addition time on each breast. Feeding your baby more often and allowing them to latch on longer will help increase your milk supply. It takes about a week for your milk supply to increase.

NEVER put cereal in a baby's bottle! Baby's can choke on it, no matter how soupy it is. Also, the AAP recommends not introducing solids until 6 months. Introducing solids too early can contribute to allergies and diabetes in children.

If you have trouble getting your baby nurse more often, discuss it with your pediatrician or contact a lactation specialist at your local hospital.

There could be a number of possible reasons - incorrect latching on, not enough milk, not eating enough, etc. You should speak with her pediatrician and a lactation consultant. If milk production is a problem, there are herbs you could try to help increase the amount you make. In the meantime, drink lots of water and eat well balanced meals.

First and far most I would talk to a doctor, but I am sure you just need to add a little cereal or formula to the diet. Some mothers tend to not have ample supply, Also your baby is what you eat so make sure you are getting good nutrients as well, I am sure you are though. Don't fret it will be OK.

Continue to nurse her as often as possible. Drink alot of fluids you need to get your supply back up. She may just be a lazy sucker try pumping your breast milk and give it to her in a bottle that way you can see if you are producing enough milk. Call a lactation consultant they will help you. good luck and don't give up.

We need more information.

Is baby exclusively breastfed? How often and long does baby nurse?

What was baby's birth weight, lowest weight and weights taken since then?

The more info your provide, the better the answers we give you will be.

Around 3 months is when you need to start implamenting solids, or rice cereals into their foods. Try adding some rice cereal to a bottle of breastmilk at night before bed, your baby will start gaining weight and may even sleep through the night longer. Good Luck!
