Well judging from the video I'd say it's about fake people, particularly in the move business. In places the band are playing in front of a big 'Hollowood' sign. Also all of the pretty movie people turn out to be cardboard cutouts. 'The stars, they lie to you' means that celebrities aren't everything they seem.

'Before you tell yourself it's just a different scene, remember it's just different from what you've seen' I think means that when you find out what hollywood and celebrities are really like, don't think it's changed, it's just that you've never seen that side of this before. You're looking Throught the Glass at all these fake celebrities, and 'remember what you're staring at is me' means that he's in there with them, and I would say he probably doesn't want to be.

Hope that helps. If you really want to know, go on www.songmeanings.net (I think that's the address anyway)

I think it's like he's looking at something that he can't get to. Think of being in a zoo and you can't touch the animals. Kinda like that. I think.
