I thought its region free. its an ntsc system, wont play my pal dvd's. my ridge racer is japanese, wont play my pro evo pal and i know there WILL be software to fix this all. BUT WHO HAS IT NOW?????????

The PS3 is region free, but it's not for movies. Movies are still region locked.
Just because the PS3 is region free doesn't mean that you can play any games because games are region locked, so NTSC PS3 can't play a PAL game. Now if the game is region free, then you can play it on any PS3.
