i have an excel file which is password protected to open.
can any one tell me how to open it.
i hv tried all possible ways using s/w found on net or 3rd party tools.
can any one suggest any good s/w apart from AOPR,AOPB or any rixler s/w which can break the password or recover it in few minutes.
i hv excel 2003, is there a way to sort this problem out through going into the registry.
please help ASAP.

I faced the same issue and got a software to do this. it took from me to days to let the program to find the password.

Have u already tried 2 type the correct password 2 open?

Many years ago I contacted Microsoft with this same question regarding Word. Basically, if you don't have the password, you're out of luck.

Just enter the password when Excel asks for it.

I think your only bet would be to try some s/w that has bruteforce or "dictionary attack" capabilities. This, however, could take weeks, depending on your computer. But hey, the sooner you get started the sooner it will finish.
