I feel your pain. I have oily skin too. There is nothing you can do to stop oil production. Oil production will decrease as you get older. What you should do is wash your face with a mild cleanser, use a gentle exfoliant and then apply a toner. Use a good oil free lotion. This will help your foundation go on smoother and your makeup will stay fresh longer. I have one by Clean and Clear and it works pretty good. Use an oil free foundation. MAC has 2 foundations that are great for oily skin: Studio Fix Liquid Foundation and MAC Matte Foundation. Apply the foundation with a sponge or foundation brush. MAC also has a blot powder which is great for oily skin. It doesn't cake up on skin so you can use it as often as you need to.

Well, the upside is that your skin will stay softer and more pliable (less likely to wrinkle as much) as you age:-)

Unfortunately, you have oily skin. There isn't anything you can really do. You can try all those powders, lotions, blotter pads, but your skin will return to its normal stage (produce more oil), because that's how your body works. Alcohol, toners, lotions, etc will work temporarily, regardless the brand. So, whatever you do will only last a couple hours and then you have to reapply, reblot, rework whatever for another couple of hours - sorry.

I know it sucks, we all have something that we'd like to change about our appearances. But, remember that you are beautiful, no matter what! :-)

Mineral make-up!
Non-comedogenic and oil-free - The skin can breathe and function normally. The pores are not blocked my minerals.

Inert - The loose minerals are inert (non active) so that the risk of allergy is eliminated, and the minerals cannot support bacteria. The shelf life is vastly longer than traditional cosmetics, and it is a benefit for oily/acne skin to help prevent bacterial breakouts.

If your skin is very oily, you can even add in some Porcelain Finishing Powder to the blend. This will help hold back oil, reduce shine after several hours of oily breakthrough, and fill in pores.

or go buy it on eBay, where it's pretty cheap.

I've had that same problem.
I've been using Biore Oil Controlling Cleanser. It's actually made a difference.
Also, I've just bought MAC foundation. It gives a flawless clean finish throughout the day, without looking oily or cakey.
Try those two things out.

I also have oily skin. I recently started using a mineral powder foundation. It works and I love it. There are many different brands and price ranges.....'loreal bare naturale' being the most affordable and 'bare minerals' being the most expensive.

I use a powdered bronzer instead of foundation. Buy a nice fluff brush and stroke some on.... throughout the day you can blot with your papers and reapply some bronzer, using the brush that comes with the pkg.
