Although we are not being married till next May I had to answer this one. My fiance is far more fiscally responsible than I could ever dream of being.

I guess it would only be fair to define "best money manager" to give you an answer that would be fair. My wife will not bounce a check and pays all the bills on time, but when it is all said and done, the balance in the checking account is "zero". She has no ability to save or invest, she has a real use it or lose it view of any money not needed to pay bills. I on the other hand handle all of our money and finances now, we still pay all of our bills, carry very little debt and are building a nice portfolio for our future. Don't think she does not see the value of that portfolio and think "New Car" or "World Cruise"...

We both manage money good, but I have to say my husband does the best in keeping up with the bills.

Me. My husbands idea of managing money was to cash the check, put it in his pocket, and spend it till it was gone. I manage all the finances now, we have several CD's, savings accounts, bills always paid on time, and new cars in the driveway.

We do it together, we have had this system in place for the last 7 or 8 years and it works for us, That way we share the financial stresses of the family together and not just one person has to make all of those decisions.

I am. If finances were left to him, we would have been on the streets. That's one of the reasons I am not married anymore. Being with a financially irresponsible person is one of the worst things in a marriage.

My wife; but that's because she was an honors math major, and has always been good with numbers, money, etc. She is certainly sensible and logical, but on the other hand she can be totally impulsive, too.
