Ive had it nicked, is there any way of getting it back. I heard when they connect to the internet the police will be able to trace it.

Oh thats awfull.....

Best thing to do is...wherever it was stolen from (Car/House/Office)...see if there are any CCTV camera's around and ask if you could get them to look at it, too see if you can see the thiefs...that way the police will have some id on the thiefs..

Phone the Manufacters for advice...

Small Claims Office...give them a try


I had a £1600 Dell Inspiron 8200 stolen out of my car. in 2002..(and it was in my boot)......Police took a statement at the office...and that was it.....they found the culprit..but because the police took longer than 3 months to prepare the case...CPS throw the case out the window :-(

if its been stolen you are very UNlikly to get it back. the police are lazy ba$tard$. i dont think they would care that much about finding a laptop. i know this from personal experience

Yes if you had put software on it that would help you do that. If you didnt then they can just wipe the HD and they are home free.
