I mean. If they're known to be here illegally, why are they not deported?
Also, I don't understand why some people don't have taxes taken out on thier checks. IF you know what I mean. Why shouldn't they (or you) have to pay the same taxes we do?

Racer123: I'm not judging anyone. This question came about when my husband told me about a few men working where he does bragging about the fact that taxes aren't taken out on them. I just don't see how that's fair..this is OUR country. I wouldn't move to thier country and demand everyone learn english and expect to work tax free, get free medical benefits, etc. etc.

They shouldnt be able to get driving licenses. Don't you have to have a birth certificate and social security card to get a driving license?

Okay first of all, you cannot have a license now in CA if you do not have insurance, so that is finally a good thing! There is a law that the police cannot harrass someone if they are another nationality to inquire about their status, only if they break the law. Same with if someone looks like they are on drugs, unless they are driving, etc, they cannot just search their house etc without reason. I used to work somewhere with a lot of "illegals" and it would irritate me. They would claim 9, etc, so not much would come out of their taxes. Unfortunately until they crack down on this, or social security administration computerizes their verification of social security cards, this will continue to be a problem. Hopefully some day it will get better...

I am an American citizen too and my family were immigrants who had a hard time when they came to the USA but they came here legally. I have no sympathy for illegal immigrants and think they harm other legal ethnic groups by working for less and under the table and not paying taxes, or paying for medical care. I have many friends who are Americans of Mexican orgin and are great citizens, serve in government, the military, pay taxes, help with school projects....and they are not outlaws. they are actual American citizens.

They shouldn't BE here and being here should preempt their gaining any licenses, permits or anything else but 1) prison; and/or 2) deportation.
To add: It's not hate, bigotry or an attempt to keep anyone from immigrating to the US. There is one little word that separates those who would allow free access to everything the US has to offer and those who demand established procedures and that word is: "legal".
It is much the same as coming home from the store to find someone has broken into your home and is sitting on your sofa watching your TV while eating your food and not being able to do anything about it. If you're ready and willing to donate your home to someone who is breaking the law, that is your privilege but not one I share.

What is your source that illegal immigrants have the ability to have a license?
I suspect if that is so, it is probably because many illegals come to the U.S. through a legitimate visa and by doing so are allowed to obtain a license. When they stay beyond the length of the visa they are illegal but have already obtained a license.
Through the source listed, the state of Florida doesn't appear to allow this practice.

Politicians are too busy wasting our tax dollars to care how the illegals are robbing us blind! We're the "sucker" nation. At this point, the laughing stock of the U.N. We need to stop illegals from coming here. Those who get through border security should be shot. They should NEVER be allowed to get a license, job, welfare & food stamps... But the government obviously doesn't care.

I don't know - one of the many stupid things our politicians do. California is an offender on this one; and in New Mexico a few years ago, they had a special day at the MVD to allow only illegal aliens to apply for licenses! Crazy stuff.

have you ever wondered why US lets so many immigrants in your country in the first place? Cheap labour... specialised skills ... and something that in economical terms we call is the balancing of wages!
If anybody has to be blamed for it, its your own govt. If at all, the immigrants in your country have contributed exceptionally towards the building of your country's economy.
the least you could do... is not hate them! maybe next time.. you could actually ask why are so many immigrants allowed in your country in the first place! lemme tell you... it definetly aint charity!

So youd rather have a bunch of illegal immigrants with no driving experience drive around in a 1 ton killing machine then to actually give them a license which means that they know what's right from wrong. If you give them a license then you know they would be good drivers because if they get pulled over... its back to their country.

Please don't judge a person until you've walked in thier shoes for a day. This country was built by those who chose not to live under the "evil" rule of others. Compassion, concearn and concideration for our fellow human should be first and foremost in the eyes of those who live in a free democracy that values human rights. Anything less is a travisty to the positive progress of humanity.
