Don't worry, I am not here to tell you what to do, or judge you, but let me just start off by saying I am 21 years old, and I waited until I was 19 to have sex, and that's when I knew I was truly in love, and I don't regret it even from this day, but I know that if I were 14, and didn't know where being in love even started I would not have sex. That is something YOU get to control, not your parents, not God, not your teachers, NO ONE but YOU, and you need to make a wise decision and not have sex right now, and there is possibility you will get pregnant, even with a condom and birth control (my friend did) Sex is not all that great unless you are truly IN LOVE! Stay a virgin sweetheart, it will all be worth it to you in the end, and you don't ever have to worry about getting pregnant. Focus on school, dances, sleep overs, the movies, note writing, drama, gossip, and friends, because one day, high school wont be there, don't grow up too fast yet, you have a long time until you have to do that, and don't have sex for anyone (not even a boyfriend) if you really DON"T want to. If they really love you, they will respect that. Good luck!

I should contact YA and see if they can just pop up this answer every time someone posts this question.... I feel like a broken record.
There is something called "age of consent". This is a law that your state or country created that helps protect children. The "age of consent" is the age that, it has been determined that a person is mature enough to handle the choices and consequences of having sex.
No where in the U.S. is the age of consent low enough for a person who is 14 to legally have sex.
This means that all the people in the United States agreed (thought their elected law makers) that at 14, you cannot make sound judgments as to whether or not you can have sex.
For instance you are worried about getting pregnant. Did you know that 100 times more likely to get pregnant then winning $1000 in a state lottery? Did you know that you are 10,000 times more likely to get pregnant then win the grand prize in whatever McDonald's prize contest they have going on now? Did you know that at 15 (the age you would have the baby) 50% of all teenagers that were pregnant.... got pregnant on the first time!
By the way, the above statistics are for girls on birth control.... the odds jump dramatically if you don't bother to use a condom.
Then there is the whole STD thing, (like you can catch one of those cute little viruses that makes you infertile for the rest of your life, or gives you the cute little bumps once a month that hurt like heck and are terribly infectious and incurable, or the big one that.... kills you)
So prove to yourself and your boyfriend that you are mature enough to wait. You'll be doing yourself, and him a big favor!

Look im not gona tell you what to do im just gona tell you what i did wrong and hope it keeps you from making the same mistake. Iv always been really mature for my age and I made that mistake at 13, I really thought I loved the boy and I knew that me having sex with him would make him want to stay with me. True, it did. But 3 months later, he cheated on me and left me crying over him for a year. At 15 I found a boy that was a few years older than me and loved me for me and i really fell in love with him. He told me that he had made the decision to wait until he was married at the age of 11 and is still planning on keeping that promise. The tears I had to see in his eyes because i couldnt give him the best gift you could ever give the one you love (your virginity) made me wish more than anything that i never would have done that and would have waited for him when we got married. It didnt affect our relationship any but he has to face the fact that i do and always will have a connection with that boy because we was the one that took my virginity.

I think that you are way to young the best way not to get preg. is none at all. Please wait till you are older. Most guys only want that and nothing else then they are gone. You could be called a slut, whore, what ever else there is out there STD's Aids, think about it you don't want to have any of this. And lord knows there are to many babies having babies. Live your life with out this till you are older. You won't regret it. But if you do this I am almost positive that youwill regret it. But if this is something you thing that you are ready for and can handdle this in your mind. Don't let him presure you to do it. If you do go get on birth controll. YOur local heath department should be able to help you out for free with condoms and birth controll and it is confidental. They also test for STD's and other things. Really think about this before you do it. I would wait.

Well this is what you do...you go and have as much sex with as many men/boys you can find. Screw until you can't walk. Then by the time you are 17 you will have 2 kids, AIDS, herpes, syphilis and maybe even discover a new STD. By the time you are 19, you'll be dead and won't have to worry about anything or make any decisions.
Sounds like fun, huh???

Please do not do this. What you want to do and what you can and should do at this age are very different. If he is pressing you, get another boyfriend because he does not value you as a person.
If you absolutely must, then you must use a spermicide and he must use a condom. Just one alone is only about 70% effective but together the two are 99% effective. Both of these items can be purchased at your local pharmacy.

DON"T DO IT!!! It is a stupid idea to be thinking about that at 14. The likelyhood of you getting pregnant is HUGE. Think about it..You aren't even old enough to have a job and baby's cost over $2,000 a year. How the hell are you supposed to care for a child? You can barely take care of yourself.

The best advice I can give you is to wait. Fourteen is way too young to be sexually active. If you do have sex you should always use a condom, not only do you not want to get pregnant, you don't want to get any sexually transmitted diseases. Talk to your mother about what to do when you become sexually active, but for now please wait. You are still a kid. Enjoy it while you can.
