mmm, this is a common problem,i gave up wireless accesories a long time ago as the idea of wireless was good, but in pratice they are so unpredictable,
the worst being p.c mice and keyboards,as these are the items you use the most so you need them to be 100% at all times
the wirelless mouse usually have a button on the receiver and underneath the mouse itself, you need to press these together to link the signal, and normally the keyboards are the same, but if you are using a wireless router and also have your mobile phone on your computer desk these can affect your signal
trust me use a corded optical mouse, these are normally much cheaper than wireless and much more reliable, the same goes for keyboards
but anyway press the two buttons as i said and use duracell batterys as these last much longer
good luck

Your wireless mous should have come with a usb dongle. In most computers, when the dongle is inserted the mouse is installed automatically. If not you should recieved a cd with it. Insert the cd in the drive and it should install automatically
