Most overrated without a doubt was Jeff Samardzija. A summer of baseball took away all of his speed and made him drop several balls this year.
The most underrated this year was Ian Johnson. The best halfback in the country in my opinion and really nobody is talking about him. He's first in touchdowns and second in yards, only behind Garrett Wolfe, in the nation. Even after Boise State's upset win over Oklahoma, nobody is really talking about him. All they talk about is his proposal, not the great halfback that he is.

I'd go with Illinois being very underrated (not a fan of the Illini either). Add the only team to beat them, Missouri, to the list of underrated teams. Overrated, right now, would be South Florida (good, but not the #6 team in the country), Wisconsin, and Hawaii. Overrated always are Penn State, Michigan, and Notre Dame.

Overrated - Definitely Brady Quinn, the entire Michigan defense.
Underrated - Ray Rice of Rutgers

McCoy he is still a freshmen and doesn't live up to hype yet.

UnderRated: Troy Smith.. He's been great all season, and still isn't projecting that high in the draft because he is only 6'1'' and they like QB's be to 6'3'' or higher
