I have seen reps and senators do this when they are trying to get a bill going or its election time but none that will do it and keep doing it when they dont have a personal movtive or agenda.

Obama and Durbin both hold public meetings and invite constituents to attend, quite often.
they are called constituent breakfast meetings. usually on Thursdays.
