Kensington Palace; Windsor Castle.

It depends on what you want to see. Both are residences of the Royal Family.

Kensington Palace was originally constructed in the early 17th century; if you are interested in seeing where Diana, Princess of Wales, lived, this is for you. It's also quite fascinating to take a tour through its few hundred years of royal history. Wikipedia really is not too bad on its history:

Windsor Castle, however, was built by William the Conqueror and has been a residence of our monarchs for over 900 years. You can see a lot here - you might even glimpse a member of the Royal Family! St George's Chapel, where Henry VIII, Jane Seymour and Charles I - also the Queen Mother - are buried, is very worthwhile seeing.

The palace at Kensington is not a "castle" in the traditional sense...it is more like a very much smaller version of Buckingham Palace..just a big fancy house.

If you want something that looks like everyone's idea of a castle, with turrets and a moat, then Windsor Castle is much better.

As there is no castle in Kensington (there is a palace, but no castle) then I'd go for Windsor.

I enjoyed visiting Kensington Palace and seeing Princess Diana's gowns. I really liked the whole neighborhood.

If you're only going to see one, go to Windsor Castle. There is much more to see, it is much bigger and has more beautiful grounds. Nearby is Eton College- you'll see the students walking around town in their fancy uniforms.

It's much of a muchness; both are beautiful. Go to Kensington as the area is stunning, and a little quirky; delightful. Have fun.

No contest. Windsor. It is magnificent - and a genuine medieval castle to boot.

Are you serious? Have a look at photos of the two and figure it out for yourself.
