This is an arguement my bf and I have. He is a log time fan of Final Fantasy and he despises Kingdom Hearts for blending Final Fantasy with Disney. He thinks if the two are in a game together the Final Fantasy characters should be killing the Disney characters (he has actually said this).
I am more new to the Final Fantasy series and truth be told I have only really played X and X-2 but I love them and will play the other one's when I get around to it. I think the idea of combining Final Fantasy and Disney is creative and cute. Although it is true that the Final Fantasy characters were modified, I do agree that it was somewhat necessary to fit with the Dinsey characters. And Kingdom Hearts isn't really entirly a kiddy game either. What do you think?

I thought Kingdom Hearts was a great game. While some parts were pretty foolish, just being able to fight against Sephiroth in the Platinum match at the Colliseum was great. I love the blending of Disney and Final Fantasy, and even as kids in college, my friends and I play it a lot.

Kingdom Hearts is often considered by some as a bastard game, or a hybrid game to be more polite.
Though a Disney style main Final Fantasy games would be Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X, so it's not like Kingdom Hearts is totally out of place, it's just out of place with Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII.
The problems some had is what you said, the Final Fantasy characters were modified for Kingdom Hearts.
For example, Aerith in Kingdom Hearts, you think that she really acted and talked that way in Final Fantasy VII?
Another problem is that, Kingdom Hearts have a pretty much bright story, those who are into darkness might have a problem.

Not at all kingdom hearts is a great game and it is just promoting the final fantasy series for using them...Not a kiddy game at all. Disney characters are freakin awesome anywayz so ya

I say no the only reason I can think of somebody think this is a disgrace because some of the characters do not have the personalizes from the original games. I do not know why he should dispraise it because it does not affect the personalities of the FF characters.So I agree with you this was creative idea a genius idea because these two franchises are huge and combining them together was gold mine and created a whole new fan base

I don't think that Disney is a disgrace in any way. I do wish it was called Final Fantasy: Kingdom Heats though.
