Use Firefox instead of any other browser and store them in the browsers password manager itself

Fire fox is fine for your non-financial passwords. If you're thinking of storing passwords for banking or credit card sites DO NOT keep them on Firefox. Recently Firefox experienced a vulnerability in its password manager:

Roboform is great, but the free version limits how many passwords you can keep (I think it's 10). I tested a few, and went for KeePass.

It uses 256 bit encryption (AES and Twofish) and when you go to the downloads page, you can either download the KeePass-1.06-Setup.exe file which will set the program up on your computer, or you can download the KeePass-1.06.zip file which needs no installation. It's a stand alone executable that you can keep on a USB drive and run from any PC. When you are finished banking, or whatever, just pull the USB drive and all info is erased from the PC, so even if it is hacked there will be no trace of Kee Pass, or your passwords. That's the version I use and it has worked great.

Use Firefox as your browser and you can download an extension on their website that saves all your passwords. It only requires a 1x password you enter each login.

I use 2 programs for mine. One to remember & enter the info http://www.roboform.com/ . I love this program & it saves me loads of time & agrivation. To save info for future retrieval if I lose everything on my PC I use Yahoo Widget's Notepad http://widgets.yahoo.com/ . I save everything in this little notepad. Personal info, account numbers, un/pw, purchase info; even settings I use in a graphics program to achieve a desired effect. You can't beat it.

Look into Roboform. Have used it for years and wouldn't know what to do without it.
